Portugal's Top Learn 2 Surf Beaches
Arrifana near Aljezur is absolutely beautiful. Spectacular coastal scenery with steep cliffs, white beaches and clear waters. On top of this there are some world class waves to be found in this area.
If you are in Lisbon and need to surf, Guincho beach near Cascais is your closest and best option. Only a 30min drive from the city and you'll find a surfer's paradise!
Being the only 'World Surfing Reserve' in Europe, brings many surfers to Ericeira. The best beginner beaches get overcrowded during peak season. But we have a secret surf spot away from the crowds..
If you're wanting to escape crowds and have endless miles of beach to yourself, Tocha is the place to go! We have a SURF CAMP at this location if you're keen to stay and play.
Ancora in the Caminha district receives good Atlantic swells and has some awesome beaches with waves that break in a variety of surfing conditions. Most importantly it's set away from the larger cities, so it's uncrowded for most of the year.
